Overview
As a visual artist I have developed a particular interest in what might be called the honeybee metaphor through a series of exhibitions, lectures, and seminars, which I held in several institutions and museums. Starting from the ancient fascination for this “political animal,” I am interested in identifying and unfolding the complex phenomenology of the honeybee that is informed by husbandry, political philosophy, natural sciences, and media culture. My research interest encompasses network theory, media archeology, animal studies, eco-criticism, (post-)colonialism, critical theory, material culture, and the metaphor in literature.
