Host Your Event at A.D. White House

Basic Venue Information

Priority for use of the A.D. White House is given to the Society for the Humanities, Humanities Scholars Program, humanities-themed events, administration and academic departments within the College of Arts and Sciences, and the central administration at Cornell University.

The first floor and patio of the A.D. White House are available for event rental.

Rental fees apply. Your event will be assigned a rental fee based on the duration of the event.

A.D. White House Venue Hours

While classes are in session:

  • Mondays - Thursdays: 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.
  • Fridays - Saturdays: 8:30 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Fall Break, February Break, Spring Break:

  • Mondays - Thursdays: 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
  • Fridays - 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Summer:

  • Everyday 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.*

*8 hour maximum on weekends. Note that the A.D. White House does not have air conditioning.

Requests for Sundays, late-nights, and any other time frame not listed should be directed to the Event Coordinator at adwhitehouse@cornell.edu. 

The A.D. White House is closed any time the University is closed (holidays).

Event Request

To book:

Events at the A.D. White House must be scheduled at least two weeks in advance.

Cornell Users:
To request an event reservation for a Cornell-affiliated event, please contact us first with your desired date(s) at adwhitehouse@cornell.edu, then once the date(s) are confirmed, submit an event reservation request form (25 Live).

Non-Cornell Users:

Wedding receptions and other non-Cornell, non-academic events may be scheduled during the summer months.  For more information regarding private event booking and rates, please contact us at adwhitehouse@cornell.edu
