60th Anniversary Fellows Alumni Reunion

In 2026, Cornell's Society for the Humanities celebrates our 60th anniversary as a fellowship program and humanities center.

We are holding a Fellows Alumni Reunion on the Ithaca campus during the weekend of September 18-19, 2026. This reunion will bring together former fellows and directors, current fellows, faculty, and students to reconnect, reflect on the Society’s history, and celebrate its impact on interdisciplinary humanities research over the past six decades. The event combines alumni networking, scholarly discussions, faculty engagement, and anniversary celebrations to strengthen the Society’s intellectual community across generations.

If you’re a former fellow of Cornell's Society for the Humanities, this page is for you!

Join us for a Society for the Humanities fellows alumni reunion, meaningfully scheduled for the 60th anniversary of the program. We’re especially honored to welcome any 1960s and 1970s alumni who met in the building on Wait Avenue, and the alumni who were here for the 1970s refurbishing and move into the A.D. White House.

Weekend highlights include a Friday evening welcome gathering with current Cornell humanities faculty and current Society Fellows (year of Survival), opportunities to connect with current students, participation in panels on Saturday organized by former Society directors, and a Saturday evening anniversary banquet dinner.
